Service dogs wear a vest so that they are easily identified. It is not required by the federal law, but it does make access easier. It also helps the dog differentiate from "work" and "play". When the vest is on - they are working. It is not ok, however, to put a vest on just any dog and claim that it is a service dog. That does a disservice to those who truly need the dog.

True... Police Dogs often track or perform a building search for armed suspects who have recently fled a violent crime scene. Police dogs are trained mostly to search the most fresh scent in the area as directed by an initial pursuing officer at the scene of the last direction of the dangerous suspect. Since the police dog will encounter the dangerous suspect first and only attacks at the direction of the handler, the possibility of a dog being shot or shot at is great. Therefore lots of departments protect the dog by fitting him with a bullet proof vest
Yes, Sky King's dog, Bullet, was a German Shepherd.
Using a reflective vest for dog walking in low light conditions can help increase visibility and safety for both you and your dog. The reflective material on the vest reflects light, making you more visible to drivers and other pedestrians, reducing the risk of accidents. This can help prevent potential dangers and ensure a safer walking experience for you and your furry friend.
