17, but if you don't have a license for a car yet Geico will not insure you until you have a motorcycle license or car...so don't bother getting a permit because you cant use it. Just do the motocycle safety course and get your licence.You dont need a permit to get it..just the class.

Motorcycle Licence
The system works in much the same way as for cars. You must be at least 15 before applying for a learner's licence. After six months you can apply for a restricted licence and then a full version. The learner licence fee is $39.30, learner test $39.70 and a full licence test is $70.80.
