Know who your kids hang out with ask them to bring their friends home if they don't then check into who it is, where they live, and so forth. Keep in mind try to think like your kids do you were a kid at one time , and used to sneak around your parents you just have to be involved at all times, and don't let your guard down. Also another point is check into your kids schools, and ask the principal questions about gangs in the schools most schools have a resource officer at them a couple of times a week. Check with your local law enforcement they should know a lot of things going around in the community.Have your child in sports after school or after school activities. Be careful don't ask too many things because then you get annoying

I think you can prevent gangs through making the family unit stronger and having kids connect to the community. People often turn to gangs because they don't relate or feel connected to the family, church, or community. To solve gangs we have to solve this first and have connections. It really does take a village to raise a child, but until we see this we can't address the source of the problem.

well gangs are not easy to get rid of so you just actually ignore them and if they ask you to a "smoke" or "drugs,beer wine ....." always no matter if theypreasure u say no, no thankz, or just walk away with looking out the corner of your eye.

It is a very personal experience to nurture someone's worthwhile potentials. Each individual's personality needs to be entertained in a unique fashion.

With that said, an individual who is busy practicing a craft, art, or enveloped in a project will never have the time, nor the interest in joining a group of people who do not share those interests.
