You can apply if you wish. But "probation" means that you are still serving a sentence from whatever offense you committed and it is doubtful that any agency would hire you until after your probabation period/sentence was successfully completed. Even after you successfully complete probation SOME agencies will overlook VERY MINOR misdemeanor or traffic offense charges but by no means is that a general rule.

Can a Military Police officer become a police officer after service?

Of course an MP can become a civilian police officer after military service. He or she applies just as one without any police experience would apply. He or she will go through the police academy as a recruit the same way as those without experience. They will find the training easier than a raw recruit but the training is substantianaly different than the military since it addresses civilian procedures and laws.

What is Minnesota v Murphy supreme court case?

In Murphy, the Supreme Court ruled that the probation officer-client relationship is not confidential, as physician patient or attorney-client relationships are. If a probationer admits to committing a crime to his or her probation supervision, the information can be passed on to the police or district attorney. The Murphy decision held that a probation officer could even use trickery or psychological pressure to get information and turn it over to the police. -Larry J. Siegel
