The law does not require you to get ten hours of driving in a single day. In fact, driving ten consecutive hours for an inexperienced driver would be quite dangerous.
The law simply requires you to obtain a minimum of ten hours driving experience during daylight hours from the time you receive your learner's permit and the time you take your driver's test. This can be over a period of a few days or a few months. More experience is better, but ten hours is the minimum you need to be able to document (keep a log) for purposes of qualifying for your license.
Nopeeee Nopeeee
Yes, someone with a Rhode Island learners permit can drive in other states. However, the person with the permit must be driving with an adult rider in the car.
114 dollars. just got one
As long as there is a licensed driver over the age of 21 at all times when the driver with the learners permit is driving, there is absolutely no problem with someone driving with a learners permit in a state other than where it was issued. When my son had his learners permit, we took a 2 week vacation and traveled across several state lines - he drove 75% of the trip - we were never stopped.
Suspend their driving privilege, possibly push back the date they're eligible to receive an actual driver's license, fines.
Driving on a learners permit means that there are restrictions to how you're allowed to drive. It might say that you have to have someone with a full license with you, that you are only allowed to drive during daylight or something similar. An infraction means that you've been caught driving outside the restrictions in your permit.
If your current address is still Georgia and you have someone who is the proper age (18?) in Georgia to accompany you as you practice driving...
