When I was at the United States Military Academey for Cadets they said the legal age for shotgun and rifle purchase & ownership was 12 Years of age and 18 for handguns.CCW permits are issued at 21 unless they are open-carried.

I do not think that trafficking assault weapons and un-registered automatics constitutes a felony if you are a minor.Less to say they may or may not charge you.

If you arne't a minor then YOU will probably be charged but taking a rifle or shotgun cross-state that isn't regulated or registered.

ADDED: The above information is NOT correct. Trafficking in unregistered firearms is a FEDERAL offensefalling under the purview of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (BATF). You can be charged with a felony as a minor - your age is no protection. note: The usage of grammar, spelling, and punctuation in the oriiginal answer, leads me to believe that the individaul is likely NOT a graduate of West Point.
