A boy should marry a girl, not an age.

Seriously and ideally, a young man should marry under the following conditions:

1. When it is legal for him to do so. So if he or his desired partner are too young, he should wait to marry. You don't want a marriage that is determined to be illegal or invalid later.

2. When he has found someone he is attracted and loves, and this person loves him back. He shouldn't "just settle" when it comes to marriage. You don't want the one you can live with, but the one you can't live without.

3. When he has matured enough to leave home and be able to fully live on his own. If the guy is overly dependent on his mother, he is not ready to leave home, and not ready to marry.

4. Preferably before he has had an sexual intercourse. For many, that is not an option, and what they should do if they are able is stop having sex, get tested, become gainfully employed, then marry. If they are already a father, they should marry the mother of their child if that is possible and that can be done peacefully. Avoiding sex before marriage helps avoid many social and legal problems.

5. When he has conquered any serious addictions. If you don't love yourself, or you are abusing yourself with chemicals, that is not the time to marry. Bringing marriage into the picture at that point only complicates things, and it could spill over into problems such as domestic abuse. You should love your potential partner enough to not want to saddle them with the burden of your addiction if you have one.

6. When he is in a sane and sober state of mind. If he is intoxicated or high at the time he decides to get married, or his partner is in that state of mind, he should wait. While in most places, drunken couples won't be allowed to instantly marry, it can happen in places like Las Vegas. There are songs about being married to people and not even knowing their name. So you don't want to end up like that or marrying anyone while under the influence of chemicals.

If you are under the age of 16, you are unable to get married by law. However, if you are over 16 but under 18 you can get permission from the underage parties parents (the boys). Once you are 18, you can legally get married without the permission from parents.

Can a girl marry a boy who 10 years younger than her?

The boy must be at least 17 years old in order to get married, (in most places), which means the girl can be no younger than 27. If the boy is at least 17 he can marry a girl who is many years older than him. The girl can marry any boy, (provided she is at least 17, and he is at least 17 years old). As long as both meet the minimum age requirement to be married, the age difference is not important.
