Not unless they are responsible for the lease and/or lease payment. They may be required to be listed as an occupant to comply with occupancy rules for the house. If they are expected to pay part of the lease, someone needs to have it in writing in order to enforce the agreement, otherwise it is at their risk.
I think you have to be 18
In WA, you have to be 18 to enter a legal contract... so if the landlord requires a lease, you need someone over 18 to co-sign with you.
You must be 18 years old to enter into a residential lease agreement in the USA.
18
No - they are not legally capable of signing a lease at 16. Legally for anyone to enter into a contract (which is what a lease is) they cannot sign unless they are at least 18 years of age.
The right of a parent to tell an 18 year old what to do is based upon the fact that they are providing for you. If you actually have a bona fide lease agreement, setting out the terms - like the rent and utilities you pay - then check that paper. If it doesn't forbid such airsoft guns, then take it in and out as you please. But if you have no lease or contract, then it is your parent's house, do as they say, and move out to secure your freedom as quickly as you can.
Yes. If you are 18, you are able to enter into legal contracts, therfore you are able to sign a lease.
co-signors are required of anyone of any age who does NOT meet the credit requirements of the entity extending credit. doesnt have to be parents, that's just where kids normally go first. LOL No you are not required to cosign for anything for anyone, not even your own child after the age of 18.
