No, it is not illegal to shoot yourself, but it would be suicidal and that would not be a good thing. Also, if you live, the police cannot put you in jail because you did not shoot or kill someone else, and therefore, you are not committing a crime.

But if you died, you defiantly couldn't be arrested because you are dead.

Also, if you die and you either did or didn't leave a note saying you killed yourself, the police would probably set up an investigation to make sure someone else didn't shoot you or make a fake suicide note saying you killed yourself. But I DO NOT recommend that you shoot yourself or commit suicide because everyone would be sad and life IS worth living and that is why god made you.
