To be on the safe side, yes. The different authoroties has not quite made up their mind whether age of consent should rule online as well so better be safe than sorry. if the minor is also below the age of consent there is no question that everything sexual is illegal concerning the minor.

In the real world it's not illegal. Just keep your conversation tasteful and not vulgar and don't send nude photos. A subject matter would only be illegal to talk about in communist or 3rd world oppressive countries, depending on the depth of their invasion into their citizens' privacy.
