Yes. Despite the common misinformed notion that 18 is the legal age, 16 is the actual age of consent in Georgia. In Mississippi a girl can be 16 and date whomever she wants and a guy can be 18 and date whomever he wants. Hope it helped

There are no laws regarding dating in any state of the US. There are laws regarding sexual contact with a minor (which is not limited merely to intercourse). They are two different things. However, the parents of a minor have the right to determine who their child is and isn't allowed to spend time with, so if the minor's parents say NO to you dating then the answer is NO. But if the parents are okay with you dating, then you can do that.

i am pretty sure it is not illegal and that the state can't do anything about it. but if the parents mind and you dont break-up they can call the police and possibly sue you.

Yes. Haha, actually...I believe It's illegal in all states :) I'm 15 and all of my boyfriends have been 18 +. It is illegal, and the guy/girl could get in some serious trouble.

It's legal to DATE anyone you want, at any age, in any state. It's the next steps that you have to be careful with....sex, marriage, etc etc etc.
