Is it okay to have your first boyfriend at 11 years old?

Yeah it's ok, you're in middle school right? If you are then dating in middle school is ok. Nothing wrong with having a boyfriend or girlfriend at any age (Im a guy & I had a girlfriend when I was 4!) as long as you keep it legal. Observe whatever the age restrictions are regarding consentual sex, and if you cant do that, at least be smart about it and use protection. Word of advice; while you are under 16 dont go out with anyone who is over 16... it usually ends badly for both people. VERY badly in some cases. And lastly... dont be persuaded by anyone to do ANYTHING you dont want to do. If you dont feel ready for something, you probably arent, and youd do well to put it off until you are.

i think that it is totally OK to have a boyfriend at age 11. just don't get too serious and make sure that you also concentrate on your academic life also.

It's OK as long as you don't kiss him or anything and concentrate on school as well as I'm 11 too and have had 3 boyfriends! ;D

Well some parents may object its their right to. Your parents are there as a guide. Others at school or in church may tell you different. Make sure your ready. Going out with a guy is different from when i was 11. Guys tend to express themselves quite openly by then. And if you don't really like a guy tell him straight up...don't be rude and hurt their feelings just be honest and open. Most guys that would respect that...and if he doesn't well lets just say there is a special package guys can be kicked in if they don't that message.

Well sure, if your parents are okay with it. But, I wouldn't expect a serious relationship at 11. At that age, usually it's more like puppy love.
