Is it okay to kill someone who is trying to kill you?

Sure you can but make sure you shout out the f word at them first. but you will go to jail if you do or the death penalty. If you get away with it here on earth, you will still have to face God one day.

The answer is no, not legally. You can report this person to the police, and if the threats are sufficiently believable, you can even obtain a court order that this person must stay away from you. But unless there is actual violence, a verbal threat cannot be met with violence, or at any rate, not legally.

Whether you are charged will depend on a number of factors. Where you kill the person can make a difference. If you kill the person at home your less likely to face court and jail time than killing a person on the street. It also depends what you kill the person with. If you kill the person with an unregistered gun you can face some jail time.

"Threats" are a criminal offense. You cannot sue someone in civil court for a criminal offense. You would have to find some parallel civil offense with which you could bring suit against them.
