If traffic violation charges were to be placed they would either be against the last operator of the vehicle (if they can be determined), or the owner of the vehicle. After all - the vehicle didn't park ITSELF in neutral, did it? Either way it is definitely going to be the vehicle owner's insurance that is going to have to pay for any injury.
I think it would have to be the person who hit your car because they caused your car to crash into the other car.
jesus
They are.
Answer: The vehicle that initiates the collision is at fault.
The car in motion is ALWAYS at fault when it hits a stationary vehicle.
The person who drove their car into the parked car.
The owner of the illegally parked vehicle may be ticketed, but the "at fault" driver is responsible for the damages to the parked vehicle.
the person who parked the car
The driver of the first striking car is responsible for all subsequent damage.
The person who hit a parked vehicle is at fault.
Several things can happen. Allowing you parked legally other than insurance: the person who hit your parked car is responsible to pay damage. If you were parked on private property the lack of insurance means nothing. If you were parked on a public road or public parking lot you could be on the hook for a ticket for uninsured vehicle, but the other guy should pay anyway. Don't admit to driving with out insurance!
Yes. You are responsible for parking your vehicle in a way that damage will not be caused to another's vehicle. So say you park on a hill and the vehicle rolls back and hits another vehicle, you are liable.
