3 MONTHS
a person sentenced to sixteen months in a state prison actually serves how much time? a person sentenced to sixteen months in a state prison actually serves how much time?
I think 8, if you behave.
3 years and 3 months.
If someone is sentenced to 240 months in prison followed by 84 months of supervised release (sis), they will serve the full 240 months in prison. The 84 months of supervised release occurs after they have completed their prison sentence, so they will serve a total of 240 months in prison, followed by an additional 84 months of supervision, but not in prison. Thus, the actual time served in prison is 240 months.
sentenced to 5 years at Lansberg prison only served 9 months before he was pardoned and released
Three years, four months and four days.
4 months. But it is still in appeal.
18 months 😃
He gets out in 2010 a few months from now.
This all depends on the case. Often times when a person has been convicted, especially after being found guilty by a jury, information is gathered for the judge to consider before rendering a sentence. This can take several months or even years, especially if a codefendant had not yet gone to trial.
Petty theft is a crime involving moral turpitude, but if it is the first crime ever, that you have committed, they might cut you some slack under the "petty offense exception", which means that it is your ONLY crime ever and you were sentenced to one year and ACTUALLY served 6 months or less. otherwise you have to make sure that if you were convicted, you were sentenced to 1year or less and you ACTUALLY served 6 months or less in jail. If you have already pled guilty and sentenced / served 1year or more, you should quickly get an attorney(like me) to withdraw the guilty plea and vacate the conviction before INS catches up to you!!! Good luck.
He was sentenced to 22 months in Jail with five years of probation. He was released from prison after 4 months.
