Reasons that the legal driving age should stay the same?

I think that the driving age should stay the same because at 16,the person becomes more mature and becomes more responsible, also when the person is going to college, the person will need some type of transportation to bring them back home and to the college.if some one drops out of school they get punished by not being able to get their drivers license until their 18.

The teen that is 16 but under the age of 18 can also be controlled by there parents to a point where they can take away there driving privileges or the vehicle which they use

Because graduated drivers license is a better and more effective solution. Because experience not age is the key to good driving. Because it is hard for teens to keep jobs without being able to drive to and from that job. Because stricter laws and rules can help prevent accidents.

For help on any of these reasons... research graduated drivers license, find statistics against raising the driving age.

I had this topic for my debate in school. Type this into Google: should the driving age be raised to 18- New york times. an article by new york times that says schoolastic should show up, I don't know if this will help but I hope it does.

I don't think it shoulld be lowered as 14 year olds cant do anything else. They can't drink they cant smoke, they cant smoke weed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so why should they be able to drive. The driving age should be kept the same due to the fact that they are trying to lower the drinking age. This would cause much more drinking and driving problems. They are trying to raise the law to driving at age 18 that's about a college student's age. Don't you think that they're busy enough trying to learn and get there dream job? I personally think they should keep the driving age but teach us how to be safe even more.
