Maybe. I think it depends on the child and if the parents have instructed him/her in how to use and take care of the gun. Some children, at 10, are responsible enough to handle one, but others are not. It should be with the understanding that if the child shoots at another child or person, shoots at houses or windows, and doesn't use it correctly the gun will be taken away. This rule should be firm and solid with no bargains added by the child.
