Unless you are very young, then age should have nothing to do with it. Either you love that person or you don't. Science has proven men usually die younger than women (women with careers are catching up at a fast pace though) so it sort of balances it out. I am almost 4 years older than my husband, and we've been happily married for 33 years. My husband's brother who lives in New Zealand is married to a wonderful gal 8 years older than him and they have been happily married for 40 years with 4 children and a beautiful home.

It is no one's business the age difference between you both, unless each of you decides in a conversation to let other people know. Don't let age get in the way and if you do, then you never really loved this person at all.
