The laws for burning waste of any nature vary from country to country. However, if you consider the issues of burning even household waste then it can have a serious environmental effect. The waste could contain any amount of toxic products that when burned are transferred to the air to be inhaled by animals and people. Burning anything these days puts toxins in the atmosphere and whilst each household will have a small fire going the amount of toxins pushed into the atmosphere will have an impact of the environment. Add to the are the issue of safety for the areas around the burning which many fire authorities will have reason to issue legal notice if bylaws etc are broken.
