I personally like to revise first because it saves time. If you edit first you still have to go back and do your revision and then edit again. Then after I have completed my edit I go over it again to make sure I didn't edit out some really important part of the original.

The pictures were stock images. If you see the back cover of the book(be it Marked or Hunted, etc) you would see " Photograph (c) Getty Images" [or "Pioneer Images"] this means that they took the pictures from the site and edited it a little (may be due to copyright claims..you have to edit every book cover). -K.S.
