I don't know what a P.I. is, but the answer is, be truthful. The very existence of this question on a job application should remind you how important it is to follow the rules. It's all about avoiding negative consequences that would jeopardize your future success. Lying on an application is itself against the law and subject to penalty. Try sticking to the honest, legal path, and see what that does for your success in life. Honest, hardworking businessmen get rich- irresponsible gangstaz just die trying.
Should you mention expunged misdemeanor in a citizenship application even though you were not convicted and were sentenced to alternative rehabilitative sentencing
No, those questions want to know about the final disposition of the case. You may have been charged with a felony but convicted of a misdemeanor. Therefore, you're not a felon.
Not unless it specifically asks that. Most job applications that ask about criminal record usually only ask about felony convictions.
If it asks whether you've been convicted of a crime, including a misdemeanor, and you have, you should answer honestly. A misdemeanor conviction may not prohibit you from employment, but lying on the application will prevent it, or will be grounds for termination when it comes out.
Yes but only if you have been convicted of crime.
Yes, that should not be a problem.
a misdemenor ISNT considered a crime The correct answer is YES. If the question is have you been convicted of a crime. If the question is have you been convicted of a felony then your answer should be no.
If you were not convicted, then you can still purchase a gun. Even if you had been convicted of a misdemeanor, you could still purchase a gun, but not for a felony. I should know, I just spent 18 months and $20,000 fighting charges of aggravated assault and commission of a felony with a firearm. I won.
It depends on the charge. There are some misdemeanor offenses that disqualify a person for gun ownership. You should check with a local attorney familiar with it.
Here is the rest of my question. In 2009 i have received a Misdemeanor class C in Illinois. Case dismissed after doing 30 hrs of community service and 6 months of court supervision. I try to apply to on of the Universities in Florida and I have found a question on a application "Have you ever been charged with or convicted of a felony"? What should i answer ... YES or NO ?I would be inclined to answer NO for two reasons, one that the charges appear to have been withdrawn, and two, that you were charged with a Misdemeanor, not a Felony. In any case, you should be able to check your own criminal record to see what it says. Also, if the charges were laid before your 18'th birthday, you can probably have the record wiped clean, if it has not already been done.
Depends on what you have been arrested for. If you are a convicted felon or have been convicted of a violent misdemeanor or have a restraining order then no. If you have a misdemeanor such as DUI or public intoxication then yes
Generally speaking, a misdemeanor conviction does not trigger a gun restriction. However, there are about 40 specific misdemeanor convictions that do carry a California ten-year firearms ban. Penal Code 242 PC Battery is one of them. You should contact an attorney to discuss the issues in more detail.
