It depends. It will depend on where you are. For a fourth grade pupil, 10th grade stuff will be hard but for a graduate it will be easy. Also, some people find some things hard that others don't - but often there are other things that they find easier.
If someone is "materialistic", they care more about things than people. They judge other people by the things they own rather than their personalities.

To discriminate against someone is to unfairly judge them. Normally the passing grade for an exam might be 70% but because I don't like you for some reason I am going to fail you, even though you achieved a grade of 75% and I passed other people with a lower grade than yours. I am discriminating against you.
