Was Charles Manson an organized killer?

He was. Manson had all the earmarks of a cult leader. He isolated his 'family' members, brainwashed them, controlled them with fear and threats. Their personal possessions were taken from them, their children were separtated from them and given to others in the family to raise. Classic cult.

While Manson was convicted of murder under the Common Law joint-responsibilty rule, there is no evidence that he ever successfully killed anyone. He did attempt murder by shooting Bernard Crowe in the abdomen; Crowe, however, survived, and never reported the shooting, so Manson was never charged.

The most dangerous type of criminal is one that uses partial or half truths. He spouted Bible scripture but put his own spin on it. He was into the devil but mixed it with other religious facts and fiction that not even he could keep straight. So I guess the answer is partly yes. He made his own rules and God help anyone that didn't go along with his 'plan'.

He was. Manson learned how to manipulate people and he was very good at it. He used many of the same techniques on the young people that made up 'the family' as other cult leaders use to get control of their followers.

Leadership is can be a great personality trait as long as the leader is benevolent. Manson was a dangerous control freak that brought destruction to almost every life he touched.

No. He didn't kill anyone himself, but he influenced a group of people do it for him. So he was actively involved and that's just as bad as killing anyone yourself.
