Insanity was not Glatman's problem. Glatman was on the prowl in 1950's Southern California, posing as a fashion photographer to meet beautiful girls. He would take out adds in the lonely hearts section of the paper, too. And women he did meet. Some got away, at least 3 did not.

He would take them out in the desert east of L.A., rape them, torture them, and finally strangle them. His last victim somehow got away near the Santa Ana Freeway and managed to flag down a nearby CHP (California Highway Patrol).

Glatman was executed in San Quentin's gas chamber on August 18, 1959. Glatman would now be classified as having APD or anti-social personality disorder, which is not insanity but a personality disorder.
