If a bailbondsman bonds out a defendant and then the defendant flees - the bailbondsman will lose more than the 'deposit' that was paid to him for his services - he will lose the ENTIRE amount of the defendants bond amount - which in many cases will amount to many thousands of dollars that he willhave to pay to the court.

THAT is why bailbondsman employ bail agents to recapture and return fleeing defendants. Many times they are more successful than law enforcement in this endeavor, AND they do not necessarily have to ovserve all the legal "niceties" that law enforcement must.

My adivce: Don't skip on a bailbond!!

What if someone lies to get out of jail on bail?

Since everyone is entitled to be considered for release on bail, I'm wondering what kind of lie was told by the defendant? In any case..., if information was offered that was proveably untrue then their bail could be revoked and they could be jailed awaiting their court action. If their bail was fronted by a bail bondsman, they'll have to be even more cautious about any lying or the bail bondsman will pull their bail bond and the defendant will end up back in jail because no one will stand his bond.

Can you desposit money in an inmates account so they can use it to post bail?

No, you typically cannot deposit money directly into an inmate's account for the purpose of posting bail. Bail must usually be paid directly to the court or jail in the form of cash, a bail bond, or other accepted payment methods. However, funds deposited into an inmate's account can be used for purchasing items within the facility, such as snacks or personal hygiene products. For bail, it's best to contact the specific jail or court for their procedures.
