Driver licences in the U.S. are issued by each state and the age limits are set by the state. As far as I know, most are between 15 and 17 with restrictions on the the younger ages. Restrictions may include that you must have a licenced driver in the car to not being allowed to drive after dark to not being allowed to have other minors in the car with you. Each state is different, check with your local Law Inforcement Agency.
