Some pirate ships were highly organized and tightly run, exactly like navy ships.

Others had little in the way of rules other than you did what the captain said.

There were, (assuming you are speaking of old-time pirates), but they were pretty much decided democratically, with each pirate having a say in how things should be run, and choosing whom they would like to captain the ship.

4. No woman allowed on board.

5. Weapons must be kept clean and ready.
