How will long term use of klonopin prescribed for panic 1mg twice daily affect a person physiologically and emotionally. Been on it approx 18 months.?

The effectiveness of Klonopin in long-term use, that is for more than 9 weeks, has not been systematically studied in controlled clinical trials. The physician who elects to use Klonopin for extended periods should periodically reevaluate the long-term usefulness of the drug for the individual patient. People respond differently to psych medications, and it is not possible to give you an accurate answer without knowing a great deal more about you and your condition. Since you are under a physician's care, he or she should be advising and monitoring you. If you have doubts about your protocol, you could always get a second opinion.

Does Klonopin get you high?

Yes. Klonopin, or Clonazepam, is a form of Benzodiazepines, the most common classification of anti-anxiety medications. Much like Xanax, Klonopin is available in .5mg, 1mg and 2mg tablets. Street value of Klonopin is significantly higher than Xanax. Klonopins will definitely get you very high however, I do not in any way shape or form recommend it. Klonopins have some very nasty common side effects and some disgusting long term effects with continued use.
