You would be charged with possession, charges with depend also on where you were when you got caught, like being caught in school you'd have to go to court. Where i live 20 grams and more is a felony. But having zip lock bags, or a scale would get you in for drug trafficking with intent to distribute (or intent to sell,).
One pound; 16 ounces; 448 grams
Being charged as a drug dealer does not take much. Being caught with any amount of marijuana along with multiple baggies, and or a scale, and or documentation of people you have sold to will constitute the intent to sell charge. There are also instances of being caught with any more than an ounce being an intent to sell too if the cop can somehow prove it. I was charged with trafficking in marijuana for having text messages indicating dealings on my cell phone. I was also busted with a broken digital scale (did not turn on, error'd out), but was still charged with trafficking. It is not taken lightly in Ohio, I was given 2 years probation and I was caught with under an ounce. Also I lost my license for a year, and have to attend drug awareness classes. The scale and my cell phone screwed me, but I was also busted with plastic baggies and the cops left those in my car (strangely enough)
With a scale.
To weigh gold and silver in ounces, you can use a digital scale that is capable of measuring in ounces. Place the gold or silver on the scale and ensure it is zeroed before placing the metal on it. The weight displayed on the scale will then be in ounces.
I would say that would depend on where you were when you were caught, which laws you violated, and what your past record has been. You should probably be talking to your attorney.
If you stopped smoking marijuana you could work this out for yourself.
8.25 ounces on a postal scale
you can do that on a scale :)
I use a scale, my kitchen scale if less than 10 pounds, bathroom scale if over 10 pounds
a food-service or nutritional scale
the Thrift store
On a scale that measures grams and/or ounces.
