Based on 30 years in law enforcement, I can't recommend ANY of the current 'acted' "entertainment" shows as being realistic. There used to be a show called "Homicide - Life On The Street" that was probably the nearest to 'real life' that I've ever seen, unfortunately it has been off the air for quite some time now. For 'non-entertainment' TV shows, on TruTV (formerly 'Court TV') any of the shows on a program called 'Forensic Files' are good.
