to get into med school? you need to graduate from a 4-year undergraduate program and earn a bachelor's degree. you can pretty much major in anything, but many people find it easier to major in a science. you also need to pass your MCATs. (kinda like the SATs)

you need a doctor of veterinary medicine degree. a bachelor degree is required for admission, from any background (prerequisite courses such as animal physiology are required though) u may already have the prereq courses with your animal science degree. admission is extremely competitive, more so than med school. (because there are far fewer spots in vet medicine than med school)
