Both terms are sometimes used interchangeably, but "hypothesis" is more specific. It refers to a certain kind of prediction that is based on extensive research. Usually, a hypothesis will also need to explain itself. After experiments have been conducted, the hypothesis will either be supported or not supported by the results. A prediction does not necessarily require the research and support that a hypothesis needs.
A testable hypothesis could be: "Individuals who identify as homosexual will exhibit consistent patterns of brain activity in response to sexual stimuli compared to heterosexual individuals, supporting the hypothesis of a biological basis for sexual orientation."
Severe or radical in nature is a phrase that is used to describe something extreme. It is something done in a drastic manner like amputating the entire leg.
"Whorey" is an informal term used to describe something that is sexually suggestive, lewd, or promiscuous in nature. It is often used in a derogatory manner to imply behavior or dress that is seen as inappropriate or overly sexual.
Discovery science is mostly about describing nature, whereas hypothesis-driven science tries to explain nature.
The nature of something refers to its fundamental characteristics, qualities, and essence that define its existence or being. It encompasses the inherent properties, behavior, and purpose of that thing, reflecting its identity and defining how it interacts with its surroundings.
