Tell them that it is stupid and if they are worried or scared about something they should tell someone.
NO NO NO!! Whatever you do DO NOT tell them it is stupid! They are depresed and feel negative, Do you want to add on to that dissapiontment!??!
No, they do not. It is foolish and unfair to suggest that just because someone is emo that this person has a good chance of attempting suicide. If generalizations are in order, then it is very depressed people who attempt suicide.
It is against the law to attempt or aid someone commiting suicide
Some do, some don't. Most who attempt suicide try to give someone a signal that something isn't right with them and that they want to end their life. The majority people don't want to commit suicide they just want a better life, one they enjoy and can tolerate. If you think someone is going to harm themselves or attempt suicide, get them help.
it depends, ask them why they are going to comit suicide ,if they give you a reason that you thinkthey would do it then they might!
yes. in their state of being. think about it. they're depressed. they need someone by their side clearly. after a failed attempt and then another. they're not going to just be OK after that.
BE THERE FOR THEM! Mentally connect with the person, don't just say "it will get better".
I believe its illegal to attempt suicide anywhere in the United States regardless of who you are.
If the suicide attempt is successful, the result is fatality.
well statistics for this or last year will be hard to find, however past statistcs can be found for 2004. 714 female teenagers committed suicide, usually twice that number will attempt suicide. if you believe someone you know will commit or attempt suicide you should seek help for them immediately. 911 will always answer calls about a possible suicide in progress, and while you can leave your name anonymously there is less we can do as EMTs because usually we cannot determine if the call was real.

When someone attempts suicide by cutting the wrists the radial artery is the main artery that is cut. The ulnar artery may also be lacerated.
It is not illegal in the UK to know that someone has expressed a wish to commit suicide. It is however illegal to assist someone to kill themselves. The UK Suicide Act of 1961 states "A person who aids, abets, counsels or procures the suicide of another, or attempt by another to commit suicide shall be liable on conviction on indictment to imprisonment for a term not exceeding fourteen years."
