A Proffessional Corporation. "APC" indicates the type of corporation that the law firm is. For instance, you may have seen "LLC" after an a law firm's name; that means that the firm is a "Limited Liability Corporation." It's similar to "Inc." which you may have also seen after a business name and which simply means that the business is "incorporated." There are certain tax and liability implications that go beyond the scope of this question that make it advantageous for a business, or a law office, to incorporate as any one of many different types of corporations.
