There are many crimes that happen in the United States. Most of them are caused by factors. These factors increase the rate of crime. Some factors that may cause high crime rate in urban areas would be low economic status, little or no bond with families, and large population.

Having a low economic status in urban areas will cause social disorganization. Social disorganization is when the town and/or area that you live in don't have much communication with others to prevent crime in there town. Having a low economic status for your town will increase in crimes because most families are living in poverty. If families have low income or not enough to get by, they will commit crimes in order to survive and support there families. Some crimes that they will commit would be robbery, drug dealing, etc. When children are brought up in this low income family they are more likely to not graduate school, and more likely to be involved in gangs, or drug related activities.

Another thing that may cause high crime rate to produce in urban areas would be having little or no family support. If you grow up not having family support such as not having both a mother and father you are more likely to be involved in a criminal action. If the parents don't teach there kids at a young age from right to wrong the child would most likely grow up not knowing the differences between good and bad. Also, if a parent shows bad examples to their kids such as drinking, smoking, or doing any other drugs around them, they are more likely to do it themselves.

One other thing that can cause crime rate to increase would be larger population in urban areas. When you live in a large population it is easier to commit a crime because it is easier to get away with. For instance in a small town it's harder to do a crime because it's easier to be recognized because word goes around fast. However, in a larger population there are more people and it is harder to keep track of individuals, therefore one has easier means of getting away with crime.

In conclusion, there are many factors that cause an increase in crime rate in urban areas. Low economic status makes people want to steal more for their needs. When children have little or no family support, they are taught right from wrong from their parents and they feel like they need to get support elsewhere, such as gangs. Larger populations makes keeping track of crime harder to do. That is why these factors increase crime rate.

Was Aileen Wuornos an organised or disorganised killer?

Aileen Wuornos is an example of a disorganized killer. //Actually, Aileen Wuronos has characteristics of both organized and disorganized behaviours. Not only did her crimes display premeditation, but they required a thinking, rational mind and a certain organized thinking process. In order to carry out her criminal acts without detection, Wuornos came prepared with the murder weapon, picked her victims and used the guise of sex to lure them to isolated areas, executed them, robbed them, and used and then disposed of their vehicles, which she scrubbed clean before abandoning them. These are behaviours of an organized killer. An example of her disorganized traits included leaving the bodies of her victims in open areas with little attempt to conceal them. In conclusion, it is quite common for serial killer to have behaviours of both organized and disorganized, sometimes refered to as 'mixed'.
