A Carist is the unformal name for someone who takes care of orphan children. However the carist is not in charge of the youngest children, a carist is only put into place when the eldest child is 15 or older. The eldest child has custody and rule over the children of the house but the carist's job is to make sure the teenager is still being responsible and takes good care of the children.
