Being involved in a crime but not committing it is often referred to as being an "accessory" or "accomplice." An accessory is someone who assists or contributes to the crime indirectly, while an accomplice may help facilitate the crime but does not directly carry out the illegal act. Both can face legal consequences depending on their level of involvement and jurisdiction.

A person who participates in committing a crime but is not the main person involved is called and accessory. And example would be hiding cash stolen from a bank robbery that you did not participate in.
