In that case, the national government has responsibility for certain aspects and the state governments have responsibility for certain aspects. South Africa has three levels of government: national, provincial, and local. The national government is responsible for national legislation and policies, while provincial governments oversee regional matters. Local governments manage community affairs and services. This structure is designed to promote cooperative governance and ensure that various levels of government work together effectively.
