I don't believe there is any restriction on how late a person under 18 can be at a movie theatre, in the U.S., at least. I have never heard of any such restriction, anyway.

If a city or county has a curfew law for teens, then it's a different story. But curfew laws restrict teens from being outside their homes after a certain time. It doesn't matter where they are: at the movies, at the laundromat, at a restaurant, etc.

There are also laws regarding how old you have to be to see certain movies. A person under 17 cannot see an R rated movie unless a parent or guardian buys the ticket and sees the movie with them, and a person under 17 cannot see an NC-17 movie in theatres at all, not even if they have a parent or guardian with them.

But, obviously, these rules only restrict people under 17 from seeing certain movies. They have nothing to do with what time of day the movie is shown.

Additionally, I just read an article (see the Related Link below) about malls in the U.S. that have recently decided to prohibit teenagers from being on the mall's property after a certain time of night.

It is possible that some movie theatres have similar policies. But the exact terms of the policy would be decided by each theatre, or chain of theatres, and thus would be different for each theatre. So you would need to contact each theatre in your hometown and ask them what their specific policy is (if they have one).
