In British Columbia, there is no specific legal age at which a sibling can babysit, but it is generally recommended that children be at least 12 years old to take on this responsibility. Parents should consider the maturity level of the older sibling, the age and needs of the younger child, and the duration of the babysitting. Ultimately, it is up to the parents to decide what is appropriate for their family.
There is no law saying at what age you are allowed to babysit in england. However there are recomendations by some charities: most say aged 14 or 16, aproximately. However if an adult leaves their child in the charge of a miner then they remain responsible for the child wellfare.
You can babysit your sibling(s) when your parent(s) feel like your ready.
The age to babysit is not legislated. In general, a 13 year old is considered old enough to take care of a younger sibling, not necessarily an infant.
