There is no other 'formal' name for it. It is sometimes referred to as the "lower house of Congress" but that is merely a descriptive name and not an official title.
The legislative branch is also known as Congress. Congress is made up of both the House of Representatives as well as the Senate.

The Navy doesn't have an official magazine per se, but Proceedings is the de facto magazine most people refer to. It's the official magazine of the U.S. Naval Institute in Annapolis, and is considered the foremost magazine for sailors concerning Navy subjects.
Theodore Roosevelt was the first President to use "White House" on his official stationery and so perhaps gave it a more official status. I do not think Congress has ever acted to officially give the White House that name.
The convention of 1787 had no official name when it was called by Congress in its February 1787 resolution. It merely set a date and place for the convention. Indeed references to the convention afterward were equally vague in title. Not until 1835 when Congress authorized the publishing of the official record of the convention taken by the designated secretary of the convention, was an official title given to the convention. The official title given the convention by act of Congress was the "1787 Federal Convention."
The congress is all the houses put together. When in school this week we were learning about it in depth and there may be another name used for the senate, but there is no other official term.
The official name for the nation of Algeria is People's Democratic Republic of Algeria. It is also known as Tagduda Tadzayrit Tugduyant Tagherfant in Berber.
