Unlawfully Driving an Automobile Away (UDAA): Up to five years in state prison (and of course a felony charge) if you tried to take possession of the car. Up to about 2 years and a $1500 fine if you did not intend to keep the car (temporarily use it). Sentencing may be reduced if this is your first time getting convicted.

Buying, Stealing, or Concealing a Stolen Car(assuming you knew the car was indeed stolen): Up to 5 years in state prison and a fine of either $10k or 3x the car's value (whichever is greater) or more if you have been previously convicted.
