Obnoxious Acts
Codifying acts is when a legislative act and all of the amendments to the act are brought together. They are then passed as one new act.
The words prohibit and forbid are more synonyms (same) than antonyms (opposite). The word prohibit means that something is not allowed. For example in a non-smoking area, smoking is prohibited. The word forbid means that something/someone is keeping something/someone from doing something. For example, the law forbids a person to drink alchohol under the age of twenty one.
"Prohibit" means to formally forbid something, often through rules or laws, while "inhibit" means to hinder, restrain, or prevent something from happening. "Prohibit" is more about imposing a restriction or ban, whereas "inhibit" is about restricting or hampering a process or action.
