In my community, several public works are designed to protect citizens and property, including flood control systems like levees and stormwater management infrastructure that mitigate flooding risks. Additionally, fire stations and emergency response facilities ensure swift action during disasters. Public parks and green spaces also play a role in enhancing community resilience by improving air quality and providing recreational areas that promote mental well-being. Lastly, well-maintained roads and bridges are crucial for safe transportation and accessibility during emergencies.
From my libertarian perspective, I can name two. -To protect its citizens' life, liberty and property from each other, or to allow or enable its citizens to protect their life, liberty and property from each other. -To protect its citizens' life, liberty and property from non-citizens(e.g. other countries), or to allow or enable its citizens to protect their life, liberty and property from non-citizens.
