What to do about stalkers?

With stalkers you can do the obvious and tell the police or get a restraining order, but usually that doesn't work. What you usually have to do is move far away. What ever you do never tell the stalker about anything. Do not talk to the stalker and do not call him and leave him threatining messages.

The answer above, in my opinion, does not satisfy my real need to explain just what to do with a stalker.

Stalkers can be tricky to escape from. Calling the police doesn't always work if the stalker is clever and sneaky. The police now days always refer to get a Restraining Order but what good does that do? Unless you have a full time body guard, that stalker can come, do something to you, then leave and what is the consequence? He goes to jail but he has already either killed you or raped you etc.

• If you have a stalker, do NOT speak to he/she.
• Try as hard as you can to avoid that person.
• You should try to always have someone with you 24/7 until the situation is resolved.
• NEVER and I mean NEVER go outside alone when you know you have a serious stalker. When you are alone is when you are most vulverable and you are putting yourself at risk of he/she taking advantage of you.
• If you know you are going to be home alone, invite someone over or go to a friends house. You should never be alone in the house if you have a serious stalker.
• Keep away from telling the stalker ANYTHING about you. Obviously don't start blabbing out your address or phone number to every person around. Write it on a piece of paper or text it.
• Make sure you tell people about this problem so maybe they can help.

*IF YOUR STALKER GETS TOO SERIOUS, LIKE LITERALLY GETTING CLOSE TO KILLING YOU, I RECOMMEND TO LEAVE IMMEDIATELY. MOVE IN WITH SOMEONE OR JUST MOVE AWAY COMPLETELY. *

Please get help if you have a stalker. We don't need anymore innocent women in this world getting killed or abused etc. by these freaks.

Do not feel bad nor guilty in anyway, you are the victim after all. The police are used to listening to all sorts of stories and they will be most understanding and helpful, so keep your story straight and clear and provide as much objective detail as possible.
