section 1: Method of Election It says we have 2 senators for each state that are elected and serve for 6 years. and each senator gets one vote.
section 2: Vacancies When a Senate seat is vacant, the government has to hold another election to fill in the seat. And the government has the power to fill in the seat until the new Senate is elected.
section 3: Exception The senators already elected by the state legislatures were not affected by this amendment.

It allowed the people to vote for Senators instead of the State Legislatures and provided a contingency plan that gave the governor of each state the power to choose a new Senator when the seat was vacated before the next election.

It prohibited the manufacture, sale, and transportation of alcohol.
