The KKK is an organization that developed after the civil war to terrorize African American's and to scare them. Made up of the police, county officers, and business men of the area it would ride at nignt. They wore the sheets to look like ghosts of Confederate soliders. The KKK is not in the constitution and the only reason they are able to exist is the constitution protects the right of assembly. Yet, it does not, protect the illegal activities that are committed by them. In recent years men who took part in bombings, murder, and illegal activities in the 1960's have been tried for their part in these actions.
