Yes 20 yrs to life. Denied parole 5 times. Up for next parole hearing August 2010.
As unbelievable as it may seem, I could not find a complete list of Manson's parole hearings. But here are the one's I could verify:1978, Nov. 28, 1979, 1986, 1992, 1997, 2002, 2007. The only one I question is 1979. There is usually a 3 to 5 year waiting period after a hearing. But there could be a legitimate reason for the 1979 hearing so soon after the one in 1978, I just failed to find it even after a search of the California Parole Board archives.*Footnote:Manson's next hearing will be sometime in 2012, but I doubt the Board will opt for a different verdict than the eleven previous decisions.
"Parole" can be a noun, verb, or adjective, depending upon usage. Noun: Mom says I'm no longer grounded; I'm just out on parole. Verb: Please parole me! Adjective: The parole board will see me next week.
I received a Notice of Hearing. Do I have to appear in court?
