If your married then seperate/divorce then you will remove your wedding ring if you want. Some people will continue to wear their rings on their ring finger (left) but there is no moving to the right unless you just decide on your own to wear in on your right. While married you wear your wedding band on your left finger - if for some reason that relationships dissolves then you do whatever it is you want with your wedding band. There is no ritual, law or special practice of "moving" your ring in the US/CAN - (other religions or countries may practice this but I wouldn't know as I have never heard of this)
Westerners have the tradition that the groom wears his wedding band on the left hand next to the little finger. Some Europeans will wear the wedding band on the right hand next to the little finger.
Yes. Note his 'wedding' band worn on the right hand.
Once you're married, tradition dictates that your engagement band be moved back to the third finger on your left hand. When you do so, your wedding ring should remain closest to your heart (where your spouse placed it on your wedding day) and your engagement ring is placed next to the wedding ring.
It is traditional to wear a wedding band on the forth left finger. Some European people wear their wedding bands on the right hand. If you want to wear your wedding band on a different finger then do so.
If I'm not mistaken, it could be different in other countries. But in America, or at least what I know is the left hand.(finger closest to your pinky). Could be different in other parts of America....
The engagement ring is typically worn closest to the hand, followed by the wedding band. The engagement ring is usually given before marriage, while the wedding band is exchanged during the wedding ceremony. However, cultural and personal preferences may vary, and some people may choose to wear their wedding band closer to the hand.
* A boy does not receive an engagement ring like the girl; he would receive a wedding band when the couple get married. In the Western countries the wedding band is worn on the left hand (finger next to the little finger) and with European countries sometimes the wedding bands for both the bride and groom are worn on the right hand.
left
Ring finger on the left hand. Wedding band goes on first, Engagment ring goes on second.
Wedding band first, then engagement ring. The wedding band should be worn closer to the heart, because it is more of a commitment. The engagement ring should not be worn at the ceremony or it can be worn on the right hand and put on after the wedding ring/band. & on the left hand on your ring finger. (next to pinkie)
A wedding ring The left hand is the 'right' hand to wear it
Your engagement ring goes on the left hand ring finger, then at the wedding you move it to the right hand so your wedding ring can be placed on this finger and move it back later. You can buy engagement and wedding rings that match, but if you have a very fancy engagement ring it is better to have a plain wedding ring.
