Ink dries pretty quickly. Once the contracts have been signed, the ink is dry. I will note that historically, earlier forms of ink used by quill pens did not dry as rapidly as the kind of ink used in the modern ball point pen. Even then, the ink would be dry in a matter of minutes at most.
